Build an email list.

I’ll say it again,    BUILD A GOOD  EMAIL LIST

You’ve probably heard it before. If you took action when you first heard this bit of advice you probably wouldn’t be here now reading this!

My biggest list has a total of 36,873 with 17,112 active subscribers. This 1 list alone was responsible for the $172,000 profit I made last year.

By far the biggest advantage to building an email list is that you can promote and generate an income anytime you like!! You don’t have to rely on traffic from Google or worry if your rankings drop.Lsat year I promoted around 5 new products/services to my list. My conversion rate is around 5%. So that means I sell to around 850 people on my list per year!Imagine if you had 850 people paying you every year!!The average spend per person is around $200

Now not everybody spends exactly $200 each. Some people spend $400+ where as some may only spend $50. Im sure you can see the benefits of owning your own email list already!!
The first thing you should do is to work in a niche that interests you. This is exactly what I did. I was interested in horse racing and sports betting, so I built a site around this and the way I built my email list was to offer free betting advice and selections.
Notice how I said ‘Free’. This is vital, because not only do you have to build an email list, you have to build a good relationship with your members. So by offering them something for free, you are attracting more people to sign up and gaining respect for providing them something at no cost!
So once I had an idea of what I wanted to offer people for free to build a list, I went and built a really simple website.

Step 1  Build a Website

I always use BlueHost to host my niche sites because they provide an excellent service at a low cost and best of all, they offer really good support should you require any help, and believe me, you will require help at some point.

Step 2   Choice a platform  - For email marketing  - AWEBER

Next I needed a platform to actually build a list. I needed a quality Auto-responder and at the time I came across Aweber. I have to admit, they were great and they have since become the leading auto-responder in the world.

Step 3   Make / Build subscribers list

Now I had to find a way of getting people to my site and then converting them to subscribers. At the time I used to approach other site owners in the same niche and offer them cash to promote my new service to their own email lists.
This worked well and I started to get a good amount of members.
As the internet started to grow I began to use Google adwords. Basically I paid for traffic which I then converted into subscribers. These days are tons of ways of build email lists. I’ll be covering a lot of them on the blog, so keep an eye out for them!

Step 4  Start recommending\Promoting products

Finding and marketing products. At first I started to create and sell my own services and products. I then discovered affiliate marketing and I purchase a course by Mark Ling called  AFFILORMA

. This was my next biggest step towards making a solid income online.
Promoting other peoples products for a commission is EASY money!

Step 5   Earn money

Convert free subscribers into paying customers. As I said earlier, you need to build a good relationship with your membership base. This is exactly what I did. Once you have done that, your members are much more likely to purchase from you. They know you, they have your trust!
If I recommend a new product to my list, chances are they will buy it for the simple fact that I have recommended it. This actually brings me on to the next step.
When you have a large list like I do, you can simply promote an affiliate product to your list and make a ton of cash immediately.
